The Swedish Foundation recently featured the Blake Pottle Foundation, sharing the story behind its creation and the impact it continues to make. What began in the wake of an unimaginable loss has been transformed into something that supports and reaches others in a meaningful way.

Blake's true north was defined by purpose, place, connection, and authentic self-expression. These four pillars—The Compass, The Mountain, The Moon, and The Colors—tell the story of a life lived with intention, love, and unwavering spirit. Through The Blake Pottle Foundation, his legacy continues to inspire others to find their own true north.

In celebration of our fifth year, the Blake Pottle Foundation is proud to have returned $86,000 directly to the community in 2025, funding programs and resources that measurably improve cancer care and quality of life. Five years in, our mission remains clear:

Record-Setting Results: Most runner signups in event history; highest total participant count to date; largest number of independent donations; 26% increase in funds raised over 2024. Financial Impact: Total funds raised: $60,583; net proceeds: $47,918; community reinvestment: 100% of net proceeds directed back into cancer-related community support

The Kubtec GammaPRO was funded by the Blake Pottle Foundation for use at Providence Swedish Issaquah to support cancer care within the surgical unit.

The Blake Pottle Foundation funded 189 massage therapy treatments at Providence Swedish in Issaquah. This support helped make massage therapy available to patients as part of their overall care.

In November 2025, the Blake Pottle Foundation supported a three-day cancer retreat hosted by Cancer Lifeline at Harmony Hill.

The Swedish Foundation is the grateful recipient of all proceeds from the 2023 Blake Pottle Foundation “Opt Outside to Fight Cancer” 5K. This generous donation is being used to purchase a much-needed ceiling lift for patients receiving treatment at SCI Issaquah.
