The Swedish Foundation is the grateful recipient of all proceeds from the 2023 Blake Pottle Foundation “Opt Outside to Fight Cancer” 5K. This generous donation is being used to purchase a much-needed ceiling lift for patients receiving treatment at SCI Issaquah.

Our family has been blessed beyond measure to have the love and support of the Blake Pottle foundation. They found us at the most important time, right when we needed the most support.

However, the case of Blake and Slalom shows mutual loyalty can still exist, and so does the power of a strong culture and employee engagement.

Jacqueline Hanson’s brother Blake was diagnosed with stage IV metastatic colorectal cancer at age 38. She describes Blake as an adventure seeker, who travelled the world, loved his family and friends, and was fiercely competitive, which largely contributed to his love of sports. He valued human connection and preferred a deep conversation over building relationships via social media.
